Côte d'Ivoire is Africa's largest natural rubber producer, due to the lack of processing plants, the country in the past can only export low value-added raw materials, resulting in a meagre income of rubber farmers. The arrival of Chinese enterprises has changed the face of the local rubber industry, and the agricultural cooperation between China and Côte d'Ivoire has helped to enhance the added value of Ivorian agricultural products.
